About Odin
Odin is a sad neglected dog when he came from the pound. He is very underweight at 37.2kg and has severe skin allergy, fly bitten ears and very weak in the hind legs.
We have learnt this is from poor nutrition and lack of exercise. His gait has certainly improved and he has put on a lot of condition.
Vet exam shows he has no arthritis. Odin is very appreciative of gentle handling and is particularly fond of women. He is not keen on young men.
He is obedient and easy to handle.
Walkers say: “Walked OK. Good energy but very nervous. Looked at dogs that barked otherwise paid no attention to them”, “Very gentle dog."
He has a coat with undercoat that sheds seasonally.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
