About Milo ~ 4mo Old Wolfhound X(On Trial 18/10/20)
Meet marvelous Milo! Milo is a 4month old Wolfhounfd X and wants nothing more than to be your best mate. He totally LOVES his people. He also adores his big foster brother and would do best with an active dog to learn from and play with. When he stares at you with his beautiful eyes, it's impossible to resist him.
Milo came from the pound so it's hard to know what his early life was like, but he's a healthy young boy who has adjusted to family life with enthusiasm. Milo has had lots of new experiences with his foster family and although he is a little cautious about new things, with reassurance he quickly accepts that everything is OK. He is a very smart boy who is interested in everything so will need ongoing company and stimulation to keep his brain active.
Milo has very good manners and has quickly learnt not to jump, which is important as he will be a fairly large dog. He isn't very food motivated so training needs patience and encouragement, however he is very eager to please and responds quickly to a calm 'no' command and praise. Because of his potential large size he will not be suitable for children under 8.
Milo's ideal home would be with an active person, couple or family with older children who can either take him with them most of the places they go, or have an energetic dog at home. Even though he will be a large dog, his favourite place is on your lap so he needs a family who will have him inside and be prepared to give him lots of attention. Milo has not had any accidents inside and is currently learning to use a doggy door. He has interacted calmly with a cat and is progressing quickly when walking on a lead.
PLEASE NOTE: Milo is not yet desexed so is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and Port Stephens area as he needs to be returned to our vets for desexing when approximately 5 months old.
