About Levi
I a super sweet, handsome boy who came to Cat Haven at no fault of my own. I really am not a fan of other animals and prefer to have all the human attention to myself. Big human attention that is as the little humans can scare me when they are loud or try and chase me. This is what my carer wrote about me:
Levi is an awesome little guy, I feel lucky I got to spend some time with him in foster!
He has a serious face (with amazing blue eyes) but is very affectionate, from his first day here he was wanting pats, purring and rolling on his back showing his belly. He loves to spend time around people, both me and friends who come over and he's very trusting. He would do well in a home where people were home a lot and could give him a lot of attention.
He's quite talkative, especially around meal times, and likes to know where you are in the house. Sometimes he'll ask to come up on your lap if you're working on the computer, and he likes curling up next to you at night on the couch. In general he's very happy to be patted and purrs a lot, but occasionally he gets a bit grumpy if he's had enough and will bat your hand away or give you a gentle nibble to tell you to stop.
When he's not asking for pats he's usually hanging out on a cat tree or window sill, watching what's happening outside the window, or stalking something (like a shoe lace). He likes doing zoomies, and particularly likes shooting through a $7 Kmart cat tunnel. He has quite a strong prey drive so combined with his long coat would probably be better as an indoor cat. His favourite toy is "Da Bird", feathers on the end of a flexible pole and string. He'll jump pretty high to try and catch it and will stalk it all around the house. When he catches it he carries it proudly around the house in his mouth.
He tends to sleep wherever he wants, but sometimes in the morning he'll jump onto the end of the bed near your feet and curl up.
He's fine with being picked up and moved around, he has a bit of the ragdoll floppiness. He's also been really good when getting his nails clipped, and having to take some medication. He doesn't like his back legs and feet being touched much though.
One thing you should know is that he is a bit like a little sheep! He drops quite a lot of hair and his hair is long and knots easily, so he needs regular brushing, and sometimes knots need to be cut out of his coat. He really likes being brushed though, so it's not so bad, just a bit of extra vacuuming, and you'll need a good lint roller.
Overall he is an amazing cat - he'll make someone or a family very happy.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
