About Denim *On Trial*
Denim arrived at Lost Souls Rabbit Refuge after a lovely member of the community contacted us as they were unable to locate Denim's owners after an extensive search and sadly he wasn't microchipped either. This lovely lady took great care of Denim for the few days he was in her care - He was then handed into the local vet clinic where another search for Denim's owners was conducted but sadly they never came forward for him. He is such a lovely bunny and obviously was a well loved member of a family - He has been well handled and doesn't mind being picked up for a smoosh too!
Denim isn't fussy with his food and so far has enjoyed a wide variety of vegetables and herbs with some apple and pear treats! He loves his hay and has been filling his cheeks with our amazing oaten hay! For breakfast, Denim prefers Science Selective pellets and within seconds the bowl is empty :)
Denim arrived in great physical condition, he is a larger boy at 3.29kg. He has a very calm and gentle personality but has his moments of cheekiness and bravado #personalityplus! He Looooooves head scratches and ear twirls so much so you can hear his teeth purring. He certainly does have the potential to be a Netflix and couch bun for sure - as long as he gets to choose what to watch! Its clear he has been well handled and isn't afraid to be patted or picked up as long as you are in a secure stance.
Denim is 10-12 months months old. Yes, he has been desexed/vaccinated/microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets. Denim had a thorough vet check by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Denim would suit being a single spoilt bunny where he is the centre of your world and to be showered with all the love. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Denim and know the right person or family is out there for him. Ideally, we would be looking for Denim to be housed indoors (pen setup) with plenty of free range time and supervised outdoor time - This ensures Denim is apart of everyday living and an important member of the family.
Denim's adoption fee is $185 which covers Denim's desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Denim has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
