About Xena
I guess you're reading this because you think Xena is a little cutie.
Xena is a 6 month old Staffy cross who needs a little help adjusting to the outside world.
She is a friendly girl who enjoys being with people, however she can get nervous in certain situations and is looking for an adopter to help her work
though her nerves.
Xena is not very fond of kids and finds them a bit intimidating, often choosing to avoid them. She is a little sensitive to loud and sudden noises as well as
sudden movements. As well as being nervous of kids, she may get frightened of things like moving trucks, busy areas or power tools.
Before she came to the RSPCA, Xena had some other dog friends and is quite social with other dogs. She may needs a little help learning how to
approach new dogs politely. She may benefit greatly from going home with a more confident dog.
Unfortunately if you live in an apartment or unit Xena may not be the dog for you. She will need indoor and outdoor access with a enough space to
explore when she is feeling overwhelmed. A quiet household is probably best for Xena as well with minimal visitors.
If you're interested in adopting Xena then there are some things you need to think about:
- She can't go to a home that has kids under 12.
- She will need help adjusting to the outside world.
- She will need to be adopted by someone who has owned a dog before.
- She is still a puppy and will need on going house training.
- She will need to go to a home that has a quiet lifestyle.
