About Buddy ~ Mixed Puppy (On Trial 26/09/20)
Buddy is 8 weeks old! His parents were a bountiful mix of Lab X Cattle & Bull Arab X Am Staff! He’s a precious little boy who loves snuggles and company, both the human and other dog kind.
He currently lives with another big dog and his brother, he’s never too far away from either but is especially fond of his Big Doggy Friend! He would suit a household with another dog or at least one who was home more often than not to give him the attention he needs.
Buddy still has a long way to go toilet training and will need a family to help guide him further in this. He’s been working at learning to sit for treats and come when called, which he’s getting quite good, being only 8 weeks old.
He sleeps in the bathroom at night but spends days outside and will happily cuddle up to his brother in a kennel when they need a day nap.
Before applying for me or one of my siblings I have some questions for you to consider:
-Have you thought about loving and caring for me for the next 12-15 years - maybe even longer ?
-I am a furever dog not just a COVID dog
-I won’t be a tiny puppy for long and will get up to mischief as I become a teenager. Are you ready for that?
-Have you thought about my extra puppy meals throughout the day?
-Will somebody be home more often than not to keep me socialised?
-I will most likely be a large adult so do you have solid and tall fencing (5-6 foot) to keep me safe?
-I won’t suit an apartment , courtyards or a small yard. I need a medium to large yard to play and rumble in!
-Have you thought about my ongoing physical training and mental stimulation (enrichment games) so that I don't get bored and destructive?
-Will I have access to inside at all times to ensure that I am a part of your family?
I'm watching and learning from you from the moment I open my eyes. Being inside means that I will learn what leads to praise and reward and what doesn't. Being under supervision also means I learn boundaries (crucial as I grow older) and means I am less likely to develop nuisance behaviours due to boredom.
If you’re keen for an attentive and affectionate chap like me then please email my foster mum Aileen on adoptadoggo@yahoo.com I’m located near Morisset (Lake Macquarie) You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt

Exceptional Sydney based adoptions will only be considered upon approval. I am NOT available for long distance or interstate adoption.
My adoption fee is $600 which covers my desexing, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worming treatments. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
