About Tom
Tom has been with us for a few months now and in that time his carers have seen what a sweet boy he is.
He will be looking for a home as an only pet but with someone home a lot so he doesn't get bored and lonely.
He can get a bit protective of his food so will be best as an only dog but he loves spending time with other dogs so one condition of his adoption will be that he gets to play and socialise with other dogs regularly just not live with them.
He travels well in the car and is good on lead but sometimes needs to be reminded not to pull with excitement.
He knows basic commands like sit, come and heal but he will benefit from ongoing training.
He loves a good romp around, he is quite gentle but being such a big boy he doesn't always realise his size and he can knock things over.
He also loves being close to his people and he enjoys a good snuggle on the couch. He will only be available to a home where he's allowed to spend a lot of time inside and have a comfortable place to sleep indoors.
He has not been tested with cats so we are looking for a home with no cats or small animals.
He has met children and has been good with them but as with any dog constant supervision around children is necessary.
Tom will need a home with carpet not floorboards, he has some trouble getting up after sleeping/laying down, we've had him seen by a vet who can't find anything obviously wrong and he thinks it may be due to the slippery floorboards in his foster home.
He will need a home with high secure fencing and a big yard.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
