About Jenna
Helloooooooooooooo everyone! My name is Jenna. Let's get one thing straight - I'm not fat, I'm just a little husky!
I am a gentle but fun-loving older lady - if anything, my personality is only shining stronger with age!
My favourite thing in the world is the attention and cuddles of people. I do like the finer things in life, so I'd love be allowed both in and outdoors at my new home. If I could describe my perfect new place, it would be one where someone is home most of the time, so that I don't get a chance to be too lonely! If I do get left alone for too long, then I will start to look for a way to dig out and come find you. For this reason, my new home will basically need to be as secure as Fort Knox, for there are not many places that can contain a husky that doesn't want to be contained!
I am extremely social with other dogs, never worrying about any one else stealing my thunder because it is simply not possible. Wherever I go I will be the most beautiful dog in the room - I know it, and feel good about myself for it. I have lived as an only dog before, but in my chill older age I think I'd like another canine friend around for security and companionship. I'm also very tolerant of little human beings! I walk well on lead and love to inspect all the goings on of the neighborhood - so helping me shed a few kilos with regular exercise will be easy for both of us :)
By now you're probably wondering how it is that you've stumbled on the best dog ever! While I certainly am pretty much perfect, my ancestral desire to hunt sometimes gets the better of me and I have been known to chase the neighboring smaller animals when I've taken myself on an outing from my yard. Cats, small dogs and pocket pets should therefore be avoided for their own safety! I'm not sure it's a really a flaw, but I've got a fine husky voice and will sing you the song of my people at all hours of the day.
If you would like to meet me, please follow the following procedure:
1) Submit an application online at www.rspcaqld.org.au/apply-to-adopt. Remember: too much information is always better than too little!
ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR A MEET & GREET!
2) If all the basic needs 'boxes' are ticked, shelter staff will be in contact to arrange a meet and greet appointment. If you have an existing dog, they'll need to come to the meet and greet too.
3) Proof of complete, secure fencing MUST be shown before a meet and greet will be considered (Rental approval for renters, too).
4) Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate proof of previous experience with huskies or similar breeds. Out-of-area applicants must be able to travel to meet within 48hrs of submitting their application.
