About Zokor
Hi my name is Zokor !! and I am 2 years old. I have only recently entered foster care after being picked up off the streets. When I first arrived at my foster family home, I was very shy, timid and frightened I spent the first 48 hours at my new home hiding inside my travel crate. I would quietly venture out for something to eat and something to drink. With patience and time, I have been able to trust my foster family and slowly I am starting to come out of my shell. If you startle me or I feel intimidated I retreat quickly into the smallest space I can find.
My foster family has two small children aged 2 and 3 years and I have loved spending time with them either sitting on the floor quietly with me or running around the back yard with them chasing a ball or my new squeaky toy.
I would make the best companion as I love being close to you. I spend time lying outside in the sun or if I am inside, I lay under a table or at your feet. I currently share the house with other pets including a larger dog and a cat. As I have become more confident, I have begun to enjoy playing with my new dog friend but if it gets to boisterous I retreat to a hiding spot.
I am learning new skills and am working on my manners, I am slowly getting the hang of sitting and waiting for my food but still need some help and encouragement for this. I am not interested in dog treats and not a big fan of dry dog biscuits, but I will do anything for canned food or people food. I can get over excited at times and need to learn not to jump up on people. I am no longer afraid of people and come easily to my foster family when called.
With my new found confidence I have become a little bit naughty, I chew things, tear things and destroy most things I come across. I also like digging holes. When I am inside I like to jump up on the couch but am easily deterred from doing that if you don't want me up there. I like to climb, the higher the better. I am toilet trained, I love being inside and following my carers around but I am also happy to be outside although I am not sure how I feel about sleeping outside.
I am not sure how I feel about water and I have not been introduced to a lead.
If you have the love and time to spend with me and help with my training I would love to be your loyal companion.
