About Theo
Yes Theo is back up for adoption due to the overwhelming amount of applications that were sent in that did not meet the requirements we advised.
REQUIREMENTS ARE:-
* Someone home more often then not - this means someone who works from home, someone who is a home maker, someone who does not work - not someone who is at home due to COVID, or works part time and is gone 3+ days a week
* Must have another dog that is dog friendly, wants to play with Theo without aggression and no jealousy - this is for Theo's socialisation, development and needs - please do not apply if you don't have another dog as you will be automatically advised unsuccessful.
* Must have a backyard for him to play in with access when he wants
* Theo is nearly 5 MONTHS OLD - NOT 5 YEARS - he is a puppy!
* Understand a dog who will require grooming / brushing
* Understand that as we don't know what Theo is crossed with - we don't know the size he will grow too.
Plus trust that as we have our dogs in care with us in family homes we know what Theo NEEDS and whilst we appreciate people fall in love with his photo - his needs are what are important too us.
Hi guys!
I'm a whole lot of cuteness with a whole lot of love to give and I am ready for my own family!
My nickname is Theo (Theodore when I’m doing something very cute but naughty - so you could basically just call me Theodore 95% of the time!) Nah just joking, I’m really a good boy, I promise!!! I’m just young so therefore everything is new and exciting and I’m up for learning anything.
I am a Maltese x - my foster mum says that she doesn't know who my dad is , but that doesn’t matter, I am super cute!
I have a coat that does require grooming. I have already had a professional groom which I found very interesting. I had fun with the ladies who made me smell and look all handsome! The groomer did tell my foster mum that I need to continue going to a groomer so that my coat stays looking good and not matted.
My foster family says that while I am absolutely gorgeous and look like butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth ... my looks can be very be deceiving . One minute I am a floppy pup in your arms, the next I’m running around crazy playing ( annoying) my foster fur brothers and sisters.
I am learning my manners and I am honestly a really good boy.
I love other dogs, any sized dogs, and I can play and play and play until my older fur siblings will just put their paw on me and suggest its rest time – and then I relax with no issues.
I adore snuggles but will remove myself when I am tired of being cute and just want to veg out.
I am still learning my toilet training and you know the saying wet grass means I will go inside as i'm not fond of getting my feet wet on the grass.
My foster mum says I am also what you call a collector - I love to collect things (socks, undies, toys, keys etc) you name it, I can collect it but cause i'm a good boy I will put it all in one spot so you will know where to come and find it!
I would love a home with other animals to keep me company and where I would be allowed inside as I'm very much a family dog.
I love sleeping with my humans and will want to continue to do that - I am an inside dog that likes to go outside when I want and play.
If you're interested in adopting me, please email for an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Thursday 13th August 2020 at 5.30pm
Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
