About Indy
Indy and her siblings, Ivy, Isaac and Iggy were originally rescued via Hawkesbury Pound in April 2019 at about 6 weeks old.
Indy was previously adopted as a DCH kitten and lived with a family for about 10 months but became stressed (reason unknown), and has now been returned to DCH for rehoming at 12 months of age. After 2 weeks of settling back in to her original foster home, Indy has become very calm and trusting, although she does seem to dislike kittens and other cats.
As Indy can become overwhelmed, she must be an Indoor Only Cat in her new home. This means that she cannot go outside at all.
Indy is mainly outgoing and affectionate and seems quite happy to meet new people in a calm setting. She makes eye contact with her big gorgeous golden eyes and loves chin scratches and pats and even a brush when in the mood.
She doesn’t mind being picked up and will settle on your lap to enjoy some attention. She has a loud purr and a quirky little meow when she wants to be noticed. Like most cats, she does enjoy some quiet, alone time for naps and lying on a sunny windowsill!
Indy is looking for a quiet home (no children), where she can be your only pet - although cat-friendly do/S would’ve okay as she is now perfectly fine with our 2 cat-friendly Golden Retrievers. This lovely young cat deserves a second chance and will make a perfect companion for a person who wants to skip the crazy kitten stage!
Indy is microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, desexed and is perfectly litter trained.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
