About Maverick *Adopted*
Maverick is a new addition to the Lost Souls fluffle! Maverick was found on the streets of Huntingdale enjoying life as a street bun before he was caught by one of our team and straight into our care. A thorough door knock took place but there were no leads as to who his owners may have been - He was microchip checked and sadly there was none to be found! Maverick was shy to start with but settled in very quickly and soon made his pen his home. He is a very energetic bun and loves to be everywhere at once! He will easily explore and chin everything in his path several times over! Cardboard boxes are a must and he particularly loves his new Kmart shark tunnel - You can hear him zooming up and down!
Maverick has been a well loved pet and arrived into our care in good condition. He is missing the very tip of his ear we suspect from fighting another male. This has healed well and you have to look really hard to notice it. Maverick is a small-medium sized mini lop bun. He has been well handled whilst in our care although he doesn't prefer to be cuddled for too long, you will notice he will nudge your hand as a sign to put him down :) He has a short white coat with black butterfly markings on his face and body. He has beautiful sparkly brown eyes too! His coat is easily maintained with weekly brushing. He loves to be patted and doted on at his level and will do anything for a head scratch. He really is a character!
Maverick isn't fussy with his food and has been on a good diet with Science Selective pellets, plenty of fresh oaten hay, wide variety of vegetables and herbs with some fruit (limited amounts). He has become addicted to dried kiwi fruit and apple slices and has an epic butt twitch when he gets his treat early!
We estimate Maverick to be approx 12-18 months old. Yes, he has been desexed/vaccinated/microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Maverick would ideally be a single spoilt bun with and indoor tall pen setup. He can be wildly independent and needs mental stimulation like boxes and toys to keep him entertained. At this stage we don't believe he would be suited being bonded to another rabbit BUT he certainly does deserve to spend the rest of his life happy, very spoilt and be apart of everyday living.
Maverick's adoption fee is $185 which includes his desexing plus vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Maverick has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
