About Rusty
Rusty is certainly not that and our 8 month old staffy X boy is sharp as a tack.
Rusty was surrendered here at BARC due to a change in his owners circumstances and is now ready for his new home.
This boy is super affectionate and wins the hearts of all he meets. He responds well to training but would benefit from a home where they were keen to do more.
Rusty is a medium to large sized dog who with his handsome good looks will win the hearts of all he meets. Fetch is a favorite game to play as well as chase. If you have children in the home older than 6 then this big goofy pup would be an ideal playmate. Rusty also loves playing with 4 legged friends and spends his days here at the shelter in our playgroups.
If you think you have a large hole in your heart that can be filled with this gorgeous pup please contact the staff at BARC on 5441-2209 to arrange an appointment time to meet with this special boy.
Due to current Covid-19 government restrictions we are unable to allow people from Melbourne Metro areas into our shelter for appointments.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
