About Roxy
Roxy is a gorgeous 1 year old German Shepherd who is just waiting for her chance to find her forever family.
Roxy did come into care a bit underweight but she has been happily working on that!
She is a lovely young girl who while has energy is also very happy to chill with the family while wanting tv marathons
Roxy is a bit unsure of new people and does tend to bark for a few minutes when meeting - her foster mum is working on this with her to show her not all people are scary.
Roxy's first love is fetch and tug o war - she is great with kids but still learning not to jump up at them - something she is getting better each day with.
Roxy wants to learn and is a quick learner so training her is easy and fun.
Roxy will need a minimum of 5ft fences while she learns about them lol
Roxy is not good with cats - she will chase them as she thinks if they run that means chase.
Roxy is fine with other dogs and currently with another big breed dog however she will politely remind any other dog if they become to bossy that they are not always in charge.
Roxy has only just turned one so does have some energy - she would love to be that dog that the kids either play in the backyard with of an afternoon or accompany a runner (She is also enjoying escorting the kids to and from school daily on a walk)
Roxy has just learnt what a dog bed is and enjoying that! She is used to sleeping outside however we know she wouldn't say no to learning to sleeping in the house of a night with her new family / person.
Roxy has a lot of love to give, and would be so grateful of a loving family to give her a chance.
Due to Roxy's size and exuberance, we would recommend either no young children or children that are used to big breed dogs
Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
