About Horace DL1347
Horace is a beautiful old soul. He is looking for a permanent home as a DFL Forever Foster. This means that he lives with you, while we take care of his necessary vet costs to keep him comfortable for the rest of his days.
An older doggo, Horace enjoys going out for a stroll so he can sniff out the day's news, but isn't big on exercise. He is happiest when he is snoozing on his bed in the sunshine, or on the couch for evening cuddles. He loves the car and he even likes bath time.
Horace is looking to be your only pet at home. He is not compatible with dogs or cats, and isn't suited to children. He needs a carer with the strength and confidence to handle him on walks, who will set him up to succeed by avoiding situations with other animals and continuing his training.
Horace is toilet trained with a very good sense of obedience. As long as you have treats on hand, you will have his attention! He doesn't enjoy being left alone, so will need someone who is home more often and can work on this with him.
If you'd love to welcome Horace into your home as a Forever Foster, email DFLrescue@gmail.com today to apply.
Medical notes
Horace has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur, and has now begun heart medication. He recovered well from surgery to remove kidney stones and lumps from his skin. He has skin allergies and may require treatment if his skin becomes irritated. As a DFL Forever Foster, all necessary vet work will be covered by the rescue.
