Large Female German Shepherd Dog

On Hold
Zena is a 2-year old purebred German Shepherd dog who was surrendered to GAAR approximately 5 weeks ago.
Unfortunately due to a change in personal circumstances, Zena was unable to stay with her current guardian. They have been proactive with training with her. Zena is a dog who thrives off of constantly stimulation and challenges. She is quite a boisterous and energetic dog who has natural drives that need to be met.
She has a good foundation of basic obedience and we have continued on with her whilst she has been here in our care. She loves the large dog social yard but is not great with the smaller size dogs. She is fine with males and females but a male/female household would be an ideal fit for her.
She has lived with cats but does require constant management around them, therefore we will be rehoming her without cats. She has had minimal interaction with smaller children and due to her boisterous nature, we will be saying no to smaller children under 8.
Zena’s ideal home will be with a dog savvy, large breed experienced home who can continue training, manage Zena and provide her with her physical and mental requirements.
