About Tira
Thank you considering a rescue dog. Most dogs receive several inquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can have a happy life together. If your inquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and 20 years experience with the understanding of the dog’s needs as our top priority.
Please email Maree at keetamouse@grapevine.com.au" in the first instance telling me about your home/lifestyle/activity levels/other dog in the family, children/ages anything that gives me an idea of you and your family and the life that I can expect for my foster for the rest of their life. I will respond by phoning you within 24 hours. If you do not supply any information (as requested above) or don't meet the criteria then unfortunately your inquiry will not will proceed and no response be sent.
TIRA IS NOT SUITABLE FOR APARTMENT LIVING SO IF YOU LIVE IN AN APARTMENT AND STILL EMAIL ME THEN YOU WILL "NOT" GET A RELPY BACK, WE GET MANY ENQUIRES FOR OUR DOGS AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO SEND YOU A REPLY BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVEN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION, MY APOLOGIES FOR HAVING TO POINT THIS OUT.
Tira is a great dog who is looking for her new home, she is a Jack Russell cross (unknown) she is as big as a small Kelpie so is a challenge sitting in your lap.
Tira is a gorgeous girl who just loves on people when she meets them, she knows basic commands, sit stay, off (as the lounge when you want her off) she knows your look and will respond, she is an active girl and would love an older family with sensible kids who can fill the void in her life.
She will fit in to an active single/couple where one or two people work from home as she would love walks daily or she would be great if you ride for exercise she will trot along side you.
Although Tira is living with many dogs over the years I would prefer her to be an only dog but with all the requirements I have mentioned.
Tira is not suitable for the elderly/apartment/small kids she needs things to do, she is not suitable as an only dog stuck in a back yard all day she would just bark all day to keep herself amused.
Tira is not suitable for small animals ie chooks, guinea pigs etc she is a Jack Russell.
Tira would be also suited to an active retired couple who live by the sea and are after a dog that has many more years in her, having Jack in her she can live well in to her teens approx 18 years old.
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
