About Pappy
Thank you considering a rescue dog. Most dogs receive several inquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can have a happy life together. If your inquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and 20 years experience with the understanding of the dog’s needs as our top priority.
Please email Maree at keetamouse@grapevine.com.au" in the first instance telling me about your home/lifestyle/activity levels/other dog in the family, children/ages anything that gives me an idea of you and your family and the life that I can expect for my foster for the rest of their life. I will respond by phoning you within 24 hours. If you do not supply any information (as requested above) unfortunately your inquiry will not proceed and no response will be sent.
Pappy is an example of humans breeding just for the sake of it and for the money, look at his teeth, they actually enhance his appearance and he does get a lot of attention from people who meet him
Pappy is around 8 years old, but has the energy of a younger dog, he is just the sweetest boy, he is what we affectionately call a ratbag, he has these energy outbursts and takes off ten to the dozens doing zoomies, is responsive "sometimes" ,
I don't say this often but he is TOTALLY house trained as long as he has a dog door Pappy would love to live by the beach so interstate adoption will be considered.
Pappy would like the company of another older dog as he is in a pack of 6 and preferably a female, he is not suited to a medium or big dog he gets along with the other small dogs in my home. Pappy needs to have access to inside/outside during the day and night as he would not cope being outside all day, he has all the creature comforts in his current home, so the less disruption in his new home the better.
Pappy would be suitable for older kids over 10-12 years of age, to grow up with, as he just loves cuddles and laps...
Pappy has a low shedding coat and so will be low maintenance with his grooming needs, he is just a sweet boy who wants to to be loved, looked after, learn and belong to a caring family.
As a fairly active boy he would not be suitable for the elderly as he would get under their feet, so if you match the home that I want for this boy then get in touch and we can have a chat.
HE CANNOT BE LEFT ALONE ALL DAY WITH NO ONE HOME, his ideal home is with a retired couple who are still active and get out and about, staying home all the time is not an option for this boy he needs things to do.
Pappy is not good with cats or any little farm creatures.

Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
