About Wombat
Wombat is mischievous and fun like his name defines.
This sweet boy just loves his people and is fun, energetic and playful with the world.
He hasn't had the best start to life so can sometimes be a little shy upon first meeting people and other animals however he doesn't take long to showcase that delightful personality and make you fall in love.
He adores cuddles and seeks out attention if he knows it's coming his way.
He has shown to be good with other dogs, friendly with livestock and scared of cats but hasn't shown any aggression to anyone he's met human or animal.
He will need an older guiding dog in the home whilst he develops to make sure he overcomes any initial fears and follows a great leader.
And we would say best not suited to a home as an only dog unless someone is home more often than not and has a good idea of keeping him social and active as he develops and throughout his life.
He will need secure and safe fencing of at least 5ft and over and free from gaps and holes but he may suit rural fencing with a family that is willing to teach him the boundaries of the property properly.
He must be included in the family and allowed inside especially at night so he is secure and safe with his new family.
He is located in the Newcastle area and is ready to meet you now.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
