About Bonnie
G'day, G'day from W.A!! I'm Bonnie & I've been told I am indeed a ""bonny"" lass. Through no fault of my own, I have come into the protective hands of SAFE, Karratha, & I am such a grateful girl to be given this second chance to find kindness, patience, respect & unconditional love with a new adoptive family.
I have had several litters in my short life & it is time for me to just sit back, relax & chill with some newfound loves, if you will have me!
I definitely have red heeler in my DNA though my stature is quite petite for a heeler. I am currently shedding so a new home where I could be brushed on a regular basis would be AMAY-ZIN! I am an extremely social girl, I love to greet new humans & new canines alike. I very rarely jump up but am always excited to see you - I really love company so a new home where I can be with people, or other dogs I have come to know, for much of the day would be a bonus.
I have working dog roots so I would definitely need a bit of ""out & about"" exercise to keep my body & mind active & alert. If left alone for long periods, I tend to get anxious & I will help to ""bring in your washing"" & ""arrange your shoes"" that are by the back door!! I have a very sweet, calming nature & I honestly just want to please my favourite humans - I am trying to alleviate boredom & impress you with my housework knowledge & skill set. I love to show you how good I've been by rolling over & showing you my tummy - I do this even for complete strangers! I LOVE a good tummy scratch, doesn't really matter who you are.
I am very food orientated so am open to learning new tricks though I am already an expert at sitting for treats & shaking paws with you. I'm very smart & I love to engage with humans - a very affectionate canine, I am always smiling at you & sitting as close to you as I can get. I am currently fostered with a canine male & we get on great together. We are outside dogs. Occasionally, he tends to be quite protective of me &, occasionally, when I get anxious, I am not apposed to giving him a bit of a growl. I don't do this with any other dog, just him, he definitely needs to be put in his place, I feel! Men (Tut!). We heelers are very clever & can be quite intense - ""we do not suffer fools gladly""!
I can be quite timid at first, & I am afraid of the garden hose but once I get to trust you, the LOVIN' will begin. I have a water-filled plastic shell in the backyard & on hot days I do like to wallow in it! Yes, I am an actual true ""red"", fair dinkum, pilbara princess & am so looking forward to my new life as your canine companion. Have you got what it takes to give this bonny lass a whole lot of unconditional love & respect? Don't hesitate, it's fate - ADOPT A SMILING, LOVING REDHEAD TODAY!
