About Firehouse Harris
I'm a really shy boy but this foster house already had another foster cat who I made friends with right away. I love to hang around him and play with him, sleep with him and explore with him and he has taught me that humans aren't anything to be scared of, and I'll hang about where they are but I'll still take my chances and only approach if they are offering me some roast chicken. If they get close enough, sometimes I'll let the humans pick me up for a cuddle, one day I might start to enjoy it. For now, I'll let them give me pats and scratches under the chin, I'll even give a purr every now and then but only if they come at me gently and don't scare me. I've become a lot braver in the last couple of weeks, who knows what the future holds with the right forever home - maybe you could consider adopting my foster brother too? We're an entertaining pair, the humans are always laughing at our antics and taking photos of us cuddling together. The humans reckon I'm no ordinary looking tabby, something about my bright orange eyes, dark black nose and lips and black toe beans gives me a bit of an edge. I'll need a patient home but I don't mind if it's a bit noisy and I quite like the older kids here. I'm also a bit of a master of hide and seek so until I get used to my new environment it's probably best you give me just smaller spaces first, save you having to look everywhere to find me. If you already have a resident cat that I can make friends with I bet I will settle a lot quicker. I've never met a dog before so I'm not sure how that would go.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
