About Kimmy
Hi, my name is Kimmy (but my foster mum likes to call me Kimmy Lou).
I've spent my early days with my foster parents, doggy and kitty bros. I wanted to impress them so much that I taught myself to use the doggy door and toilet trained myself in two days of being in my new home!
I like to sleep in cosy places like my crate and carrier when I get to go to work with my foster mum (not sure how long I'll fit in one though). I've been working on my doggy skills but still have lots to learn. I like my foster bro cat but sometimes I get a bit too excited to see him, I could live with a very dog savvy cat. Mostly I like to explore in the backyard, lounge around and play with all my foster bro's toys, he taught me tug and fetch and now they're my favourite games.
I could share my home with another medium or large doggy friend.
I might be small now but I am going to be a big girl before you know it. I need a family that can commit to ongoing training using positive force free techniques. Puppy school for me is an absolute must. If your looking for chilled out couch potato then I'm probably not the right fit. But if you like to get out and about on adventures then send through an application.
*Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
