About Archer
Archer.... shooting arrows straight to your heart. My name is Archer (Archie) and this my story. It was Christmas and I was in the pound, and things were looking mighty grim. There were a lot of sad faces around me, but then I saw people smiling and saying something about being rescued. I was not sure want that meant for me but I certainly liked the smiles that came with “rescue” much more than sad faces. Me and seven other little guys were loaded into a car and off we went on our way to our new foster home. I believe this is called the freedom ride. Lots of strange new words, rescue, freedom, and foster home but I was cool with it. I am living in my foster home now with the seven other little guys that got busted out of the pound with me. As I am a little older than them I have appointed myself big brother, making sure they don’t get into too much mischief. Well.. ok I admit it we can sometimes all get up to mischief together . Who doesn’t like a little mischief from time to time. I know you are wondering how I got to be named Archer. As soon as I got to my foster home i started shooting love arrows to everyone. I gently climbed up my foster Mummy’s chest, looked into her eyes, then it happened, love arrows going straight to her heart. That’s how my foster Mum explains it anyhow. Everyone that has visited my foster home comments what a lovely boy I am. I adore affection, and like to be picked up and cuddled. I have the loudest purr so you will never be in doubt how much I want your touch and your company. I am a very good aim with my arrows, I haven’t missed a heart yet. Now I am looking to shoot my love arrows at my forever family. I promise my arrows won’t hurt you when they hit your heart, but your heart will never be the same when they do.
Adoption details
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial. We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
