Hey everyone!
My name is Ines. The 'I' in Resilient. I was surrendered to OTC along with my litter, after my owners were busted for cruelty and neglect. We were starved very badly, it was horrific. Thankfully, OTC is skilled with neglect cases and caring for starved dogs, and because of quick action, we have made full recoveries. My mumma is Elástica - meaning resilient - and we are the RESILIENT litter:
Rosetta
Enzo
Santana
Isabella
Leandro
Inez
Elastica
Natanial
Teo
Thankfully, we were accessed soon enough that we shouldn't have any long term effects of our neglect. As it stands, we have made a full recovery and coming along in leaps and bounds just like every other doggo. Since coming into care, I have shown that nothing holds me back. While I came in frail and small, I made up for it in personality.
I am a bouncy, playful girl who spends a few hours a day at home with the other dogs, while my mum is at work. I just hang out in the yard and play with them (there are adult dogs living with me and we get along great). I sleep in a crate at night, and am really good with toilet training. I live with horses too, and have learned not to annoy them or go too close. I absolutely love swimming and would really appreciate if you could get me a clamshell pool for the backyard, and take me to the creek sometimes! I sit patiently in the car and am really well behaved for the vet, too.
So far I know how to sit, wait for food, come, drop- and not to come inside unless asked. I have been exposed to lots of loud noises including machinery and a leaf blower, and they don't phase me one bit! My favourite toys are balls and rope toys, but all toys are fun to me! I am always up for a wrestle or game of tag with the other dogs. We aren't 100% sure on my exact breed mix. Mum is mid thigh height on adult humans, but my litter seem to be a bit shorter than she was. Maybe we are staffy x? Either way, breed doesn't really matter. All you need to know about me, is that I am very loyal, loving, energetic and intelligent. My mum is one of the most gentle, quiet girls the team has ever met! I will be a beautiful pet for any family. I look forward to being taken out on walks or park sessions 4 times a week, and would need a dog friend to be at home with during the day.
So what do you think - could I be the one for you? Apply for me now; cuties like me don't last long!
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
