About Tana
I’m Tana, a 4 year old gal looking for my forever home. My mum was a Great Dane and my dad was a Bull Arab. My most obvious feature at first sight is that I’m a tripod. Years ago I was in an accident and did have to say goodbye to one of my front legs but you know what? It doesn’t bother me in the slightest! I live life to the full, running and jumping, in fact I’m quite above average in the jumping thing and need a home with suburban 6-foot fencing.
I’ve adapted to lots of changes recently and I’m pretty good at taking things in my 3 legged stride. I’ve meet kids occasionally and they seem fine to hang out with, I’ve met lots of dogs and have got along with most of those too. I draw the line if someone continues in my face and will have something to say but a polite sniff and a hello on the dog beach is no problem for me. I’ve never lived with cats and only met a few at a distance. Sure, I’m curious but if someone who’s pretty dog savvy can teach me how to behave around a confident feline, maybe I could make friends.
I’m always up for my walk or run and do well on lead listening to my person. Once that’s done for the day, I’m a good girl and like any Great Dane just love some good company and a spot in the living room under the aircon. I have recently had to get used to being on my own all day and I can do it but would rather company of boy dog or my people if possible.
Other than being so athletic on my 3 legs, my other outstanding skill is my puppy dog eyes. I’ll patiently wait for my walk and do as I’m told but don’t think I won’t be doing my very best puppy dog eyes for extra cuddles or a game of tug. I really know how to be cute and I will use it!
I’m not destructive and I’m a good girl, please contact Lisa if you think you might be my forever home in time for Christmas.
Medical notes
Appears healthy, Tana lost one front leg 3 years ago due to accident and hasn't had any issue since.
