About Chris
Chris and Sasha came from the same household and want to stay together. Sasha came from the pound at 10 years of age still lactating from having a recent litter. She is a gentle girl who came with her mate Chris. She is not used to walking on lead alone and is much more comfortable when her mate is around. Walkers say: “Very hesitant to walk. Enjoyed sitting in the shade for pats and treats. Very nervous around other dogs. Seemed quite stressed until alone with us. Liked treats a lot when calm.” They are both very chilled quiet dogs who are happy hanging out together. She is very well mannered and loves belly rubs and sits and shakes for treats. Sasha weighs 34.5kg.
Chris is a gentle boy but a bit strong on lead. Initially he pulls on lead but then walks nicely on loose lead. He ignores cars, but barks at passing dogs. He walks at a good pace and enjoys pats and belly rubs. He sits on command. Walkers say “Very sweet nature. Loves smells and sounds”. He has a smooth coat and weighs 30.1kg.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Medical notes
They come fully vaccinated, heartworm free, chipped and desexed. Their adoption fee together is $850.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
