About Belinda
Playful Belinda arrived in care at 6 weeks old. She is 1 of 6 Great Dane x babies and currently in foster care with her Brother Bart, 1 Host Dog, and of course her humans that include children. She has also had exposure to cats during her time in care and has not shown any interest in them at all.
Belinda has settled in beautifully to her foster home and enjoys the company of both other dogs and humans. She's full of energy (as most pups are) and loves to follow her humans around the backyard. Belinda is quite happy to spend her days outdoors as long as she has someone to play with, a full belly, a comfy place to snooze and some toys (or sticks/leaves) to keep her amused. Belinda is crated at night but also loves her Host Dogs kennel and loves to curl up in it for a nap or some quiet time. Toilet training is well underway and she does tend to follow the Host Dogs lead, so as long as this was continued in her new home, we believe this will be mastered in no time.
Belinda has been cuddled, kissed and adored by young children during her time in care, and we feel she would suit a home with or without another dog, as long as she was made to feel a part of the family. Belinda will grow to be a big girl and would need continued socialisation with other dogs during her puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered and socialised young lady. She will need a medium to large yard with height appropriate fencing.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Due to Belinda’s size/breed, we will be allowing her to be re-homed under a desex agreement. This will mean that Belinda must be returned to one of our approved vets on the Central Coast for desexing, no later than 11th of April 2020 (6 months old). We have consulted a number of vets who have all confirmed this is an appropriate age for the breed/size. For this reason, there will be no interstate adoptions and we will be ideally looking for a home on the Central Coast.
Belinda is located in Hamlyn Terrace on the Central Coast NSW. She comes Microchipped, Vaccinated (1st vacc), vet checked, wormed and flea/tick treated. Belinda will be ready to head off to her forever home next week....

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
