About Roku & Atara
Roku (black male) and Atara (tri colour female). Approx 4 kgs each.
If you are looking for endless amounts of cuddles and affection then look no further than Atara and Roku. These two just LOVE attention and if they had it their way would be I receipt of pats and kisses 24 hours a day, 365 days a week.
At home their foster carer describes them as very low maintenance and a pleasure to have around. They are happy to do their own thing, given they have some toys to play with and a comfy bed to lie on. They will often be found chasing scents or insects out in the backyard but then will remember they are missing out on precious patting time and return for some cuddles. Roku is slightly more toy orientated than Atara and loves to play a game of tug or run around with his soft toys. They are quiet around the home and only alert it someone is at the door or making a lot of noise outside their home!
They have good basic training and walk well on leash. Before coming into care they had to be kept inside due to a broken fence so they forgot their toilet training but have remembered it in care and will now use a pee pad if kept inside or will go outside if the door is open. Their new family should be prepared for a few accidents while they get used to a new environment and while they figure out where the appropriate place to toilet is.
Atara and Roku are best suited to a home with no other pets as they find other dogs quite scary and prefer a quieter home life without children.
We are looking for a home that will make Atara and Roku an integral part of their family. They will not be suited to being locked outside so must have access to be inside with the family.
They will require daily exercise and have moderate energy levels. Roku has slightly higher energy levels than Atara but they will both require a good daily walk to keep them happy. They love going on walks, but their new owner should be prepared to put in time for some training and exposure to the outside world as they have a tendency to bark at other dogs on leash and get scared of loud noises. Their foster carer says they are coming along nicely and gaining confidence in the outside world everyday.
We are looking to rehome these dogs as a pair but may consider separate adoption for a special family.
If you think you are the right family for these two pint size cutie patooties and have been missing some endless love and affection in your lives then head on over to our Fetching Dogs website and fill out the adoption enquiry form as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
