About Gemima
Sweet girl Gemima came into care after a rather long stint in a rural country pound and she’s adjusting well to the foster care life.
Gemima does need someone who is capable of walking a large sized girls, she can be strong on leash if she doesn't have an owner experienced with large dogs and this can cause an issue for the wrong home.
Gemima is fantastic with kids and becomes incredibly bonded to them. She has shown to have great connection with kids on the diabetes spectrum and may be suited to be a companion dog for someone suffering this and needing safety alerts.
This sweet girl adores humans and kids and is cuddly with all. She is looking for a confident owner who can continue her training in the wide world and of course around the house to make sure she’s the perfect new addition to the household.
She enjoys a walk a day and would love to be allowed inside with her new family to feel close and loved. She hasn’t shown any escaping issues within her foster care and has shown to be social with other dogs.
She is best not suited to a home wanting to frequent off leash dog parks or beaches as she doesn’t tend to like the company of small fluffy dogs.
Gemima would love a home with another confident larger dog or perhaps even to be a spoiled only dog in the home.
She is untested with pocket pets or cats but for safety we’d recommend against this.
Gemima is located in the Newcastle area and her adoption fee is $400. She is around 2 years old so a fantastic young adult age to add to the home.

In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
