About Jimmy
My foster parents describe me as a gentle soul. My favourite things to do are relax in the shade with a big, juicy bone or receive lots of belly scratches from my humans.
I currently live with a bird (who I don’t notice) a Jack Russell X and a puppy Cattle dog. The puppy is very annoying and likes to follow me around and lick my face, but I don’t get phased by her (or by anything actually).
I’m a bit hard of hearing and have some stiff joints, but they tell me that’s because I’m an older man and is nothing out of the ordinary. I’ll need some help getting in the car but I absolutely love going for drives.
My foster parents suspect that I’m off a farm and therefore I have not previously been an inside dog. Since I’ve been in my new home, I am getting more confident to go inside to visit my humans, and will need a nice cosy bed inside to keep me comfortable at night.
I don’t bark and I can’t jump, so having high fences isn’t an issue for me. Due to my age and slower mobility, I don’t even need a big yard. If I have enough room to lay outside, then I’m one happy lad! I also have difficulty with stairs, so I will need a house where I won’t have to go up and down to get to the yard.
Although I live with other dogs now, I’m a man who likes solitude and therefore would be fine as an only dog.
I walk well on the lead, but I don’t need regular walks, they’re more of a ‘slow wander’ for me.
Everyone who meets me thinks I’m a kind man, and I have no doubt you will too!
