About Abbie ~ Kelpie (on trial 2/10/19)
Meet gorgeous girl Abbie! Abbie is a beautiful 13 week old Kelpie pup. She is such a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely loves cuddles.
She can be a bit shy at first but once she gets to know you, your her new best friend! She loves to play and would be suited to a home with other dogs who will keep her company.
Abbie is an active girl who loves to do zoomies so a big secure yard is a must. We are currently learning basic commands. She is a very smart girl and is very eager to please, she would do well in dog training classes.
She currently sleeps inside the house in a crate and she is quite comfortable in there but I’m sure if you let her she would be more than happy to snug in bed with you.
Abbie is currently being fostered by a couple with a large dog. She will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as she would be too lonely on her own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Abbie is untested with cats and pocket pets. She is looking for a home where she will be treated as part of the family. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Abbie is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Abbie, please contact her foster carer Deanne on deanne-fostercarer@outlook.com Abbie is in Raymond Terrace, NSW. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Abbie's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
