About Odin
This little bundle of goofy fun loves long snuggles on the couch as much as he loves long walks and running.
Odin is 1 year old, desexed, microchipped. He would love to live with an active person who goes walking and running. Odin loves chasing after a ball, running around the yard and then collapsing into your arms on the couch. He really is the best cuddler.
After a slow introduction, he quickly warms up to everyone and will follow the pats around from anyone he meets.
Being a country boy, he is still getting used to Melbourne life so walks are a little bit intimidating for him. He is both excited and a little overwhelmed by the cars, bikes and trains that speed past him.
Odin is a quick learner but will need some guidance, training and patience to get him up to speed on his basics. He is responsive to praise and treats and keen to learn.
Being such a smoocher, he does miss his people when you leave the house so finding ways to help calm and amuse him is key. He would suit someone that is home most of the time, but with time he’ll settle in just fine.
We think Odin will be fine with kids as he seems to totally ignore them. Being quite young and having had little training, he does jump up a lot (slowly getting better) so he would suit a home with older kids (over 12) who are willing to help train him. When we tested him with another dog he became excited and barked so we would prefer a no dogs home for him and someone who is prepared to work with him on getting him used to other dogs.
We think he would be suited to an active, busy household with someone who loves to run, and where there is always someone around.
Odin is crate trained. He goes straight to his crate when instructed and sleeps in his crate. Odin needs a family who can be patient with him and continue his training.
If you think Odin would be a perfect match for your family, please send an enquiry and will send you an Expression of Interest form to complete.
