About Choc
Choc is a gorgeous, smart, loving & affectionate Tan & Red Kelpie boy who has found himself in Wallys Doggie Rescue care.
Choc loves meeting new people and getting a pat from them. Whilst he also loves other dogs he can become over excited with lots of them, so a one on one introduction works best. Choc then makes a great playmate who is kind and gentle to smaller or younger dogs.
He doesn’t seem to be phased by cats when he has walked past them in the street but he hasn’t had direct contact with any cats.
Choc being a working dog breed would love a big yard or better still a property to run around in, but a yard would be plenty as his main love would be to be inside as part of the family. He is also completely toilet trained.
He walks well on the lead and would love a walk each day but doesn’t need hours of exercise, especially if someone is home during the day to keep him company.
He doesn’t jump on people so he would be great in a family with children as he is very gentle and loves children.
He loves the beach and really enjoys paddling in the water when there’s not too many waves, so would probably enjoy a swim in a dam or lake too.
Choc is a happy boy and so easy to love and look after. He gets a little anxious at new things and especially sounds he’s not familiar with. He just often needs your reassurance that all is ok and a rub of his chest is one of his favourite things to help ease any anxiety.
He loves belly & chest rubs and back scratches but is happy just to have your company. He is very well mannered if you need him to lie down or sit away from the table.
He is still in his obedience training but already knows a lot & will come to you while inside or in the yard, knows lie down and stay. He just needs help to work on his recall/come when he’s off the lead outside so he can enjoy off leash areas and come back safely when asked.
Choc is an all over beautiful loving family member & would make any family very happy.
