Check out the adorable Meriville - video link below:
Meriville Black is a stunning boy who charms all who are graced by his presence. He came into our care after being abandoned by his people as a kitten but this cute boy has made some amazing progress. Meriville will sashay in front of you as you walk by and collapses on the ground to let you know he wants a pat and cuddles, or a belly rub if he’s really lucky. His new adopters will have to be patient with him initially as it will take time for him to settle but the reward of gaining his trust will be worth it.
Meriville loves to play, but sometimes struggles to understand what games are, as he missed out on lessons from his mum, who was a baby herself when she gave birth. His favourite place, when not playing with his cat friends, is on the window ledge, peering outside to watch the world go by. He can often be found with his head tucked under the curtain. He prefers to be an indoor cat as he feels safe and secure, which is very important after his rocky start to life. He doesn’t like loud noises, but he’s showing significant improvement and just wants to know that everything is okay. Meriville will need a cat companion in his forever home as having another cat around will help him greatly and he loves the company. He loves the dog, cat and rabbits that he shares his foster home with – he sneaks into the rabbit house to steal the baby spinach leaves. He can be a bit single minded when he really wants something such as food, but is not at all demanding.
His foster family love him a lot, and Meriville clearly loves to receive love from those he trusts. He’s a good clean boy who loves his tucker.
Meriville’s new family will be patient and loving with him while he finds his paws but once he has established a trusted bond they will be beyond blessed with a funny bundle of joy.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
