About Amy
đ„° AMY đ„°
The cheeky yet very adorable Amy is looking for her forever home.
Amy loves people and will shower you with cuddles, pawing your arm asking for more love if you stop patting her! She is still learning some of her manners, therefore she will need further training to help her be the most amazing part of your family, but sheâs pretty well behaved and awesome already!
Amy is a fast learner and is very food motivated, it doesnât take her long to learn the ropes with rewards from positive training methods. She will require high, secure fencing, particularly initially until she is settled and feels safe.
Amy is pretty good on a lead, and has been learning loose lead walking with a professional trainer which she has whizzed đđ» an experienced, confident person to walk her, continuing the positive training methods she is learning (treats a must ! đ ) would be ideal.
Amy will be best suited to a home where someone is home more rather than less and with another friendly, confident and patient dog of similar size, she can be selective with unknown dogs , however she also loves playing and snuggling.. she will take time to trust a new dog friend and may initially display her uncertainty with reactivity, but once, and this could take a few meets, she feels safe and settled, she loves to be with, play, wrestle, play zoomies and cuddle with her new fur friends. She however wouldnât do well in dog parks, dog beaches etc.
She is currently fostered with a cat whom she is fascinated with to the point of following the cat everywhere.
Strict interaction and supervision will be required (prey drive) so cat and dog are introduced correctly for a successful outcome.
A home with no young children would be ideal, she is easily overstimulated and needs a calm âolderâ family. She just wants to be loved and included and has no awareness of personal space, particularly when excited. đ
Amy has had some leg issues that were discovered once she was in foster care which we have treated but will need monitoring. This has not affected her, Amyâs youthful desire to run, jump and mess around with the other dogs she is being fostered with, wrestling and chasing balls is her favourite activities.
We cannot explain how not only good looking, but adorable this girl is, she loves to be loved, loves to learn, is as smart as a button and we canât wait for her to find her perfect forever home.
Amy has been Vaccinated, Desexed, Microchipped (90003200295646), Heart worm negative and Flea/worm treated.
Amy is being fostered in Watsonia, Victoria, her adoption fee is $350.
