About Keda **On Trial With My New Family**
Thank you for your interest in Keda. We are processing her applications.
Looking for that one in a million, special soul? Here she is! I’ve been fostering for over 10 years now, and Keda has completely stolen my heart, she really is like no other and I’m not scared to admit she’s a top 5 favourite foster kiddo (and I have fostered mannyyyy babes over the years). She’s perceptive, kind and affectionate, she has a funny sense of humour and she just LOVES life - and by life I mean food, she’s a serious foodie. Food is life right?
Coming from a difficult start where she was often scared and rough handled, she’s wary of new people. Please note that Keda is not aggressive or reactive at all and this speaks volumes of the kind of dog she is, she desperately just wants to be friends so initially she’ll just put herself to the furthest point in the house and observe you until her curiosity gets the better of her and she comes for a kiss. After a few meets and lots of treats she’s best friends with everyone she meets.
She loves her foster siblings and plays gentle bitey face, chasies and tug-o-war with the 7 month old retriever.
Oh and this girl is fast! She LOVES to stretch those beautiful long legs and she’ll zoom around so quick you’ll swear she’s got sonic superpowers. She also really loves food, have we mentioned that?
She’s also courteous and gentle with my older dogs who have sore legs and are over their playful days. I’d love to see her go to a home with another confident and playful dog, ideally under 5 years of age so she’ll have someone to burn energy with. A larger yard would be fantastic too so she can continue her mission of beating the speed of light.
Keda has lived with young children but ideally she’d go to a home with teenagers who understand boundaries, which will be crucial in the first few days of her settling into her new home. She’s fine being left at home whilst I’m at work and just lazes around mostly, although she does have a large assortment of toys to play around with which keep her busy. Keda is also learning that shoes aren’t toys but really it’s Foster Ma learning to tidy up after herself. Maybe your kids or SO need that extra motivation to not leave deliciously stinky things laying about ;)
She’s toilet trained, takes food nice and gently and loves going for walks in the suburbs. At this stage she wouldn’t be suitable for heavy traffic areas like dog parks, beaches and cafes but she loves exploring the local bush land tracks and is always up for a car ride... She loves the car so much I have to bribe her with treats to get her out, and she wants the food stuff, the salmon from SavourLife for example. This lady has standards.
Keda is roughly 25kgs and has done all of her growing now. She’s very lean in build with stunning super model long legs. If you’re interested in meeting this fuzzy polar bear, please get in touch. She really is such a gem and will complete your life in an incredible way.
