About Summer (On Trial)
Hi, I’m Summer, nice to meet you! With my sunny disposition, I’ve got a real zest for life and I love nothing more than a good zoomie and chasing my soccer ball around (I’ll even bring it back for you!!). This means I’d prefer a house with a back yard so I can stretch my legs and keep up my athletic figure. When I’m all zoomed out though, I’m happy to chill out on the couch with you and happily take whatever affection comes my way. As I’ve been in homes before, I’m already across this whole pet business – I come when I’m called and I’m toilet trained! Now, I’m a bit of a little bossy paws but don’t hold that against me, I’m a girl that knows what she wants… what I don’t want is a home with small fluffy dogs or cats – they are just not my thing but I’ll happily live with another greyhound if you have a greyt friend for me!
A note from Summer’s foster carer:
Summer is quite high energy and super friendly! She really likes being around people and absolutely loves attention so if she is an only dog I think she’d need a person around who doesn’t work full time or she might get up to mischief on her own. I don’t think she’d suit an apartment since she does like to have a run. When I get home from work she’s always hanging to go for a run in the front yard. She doesn’t seem scared of anything so she’d prob be okay living in a noisy area like Newtown, but just as long as there was a yard for her. Whenever I’ve walked her cars going past don’t phase her at all. She has great recall, will move if you just point somewhere and say “come on”, and at night you just say “wees” and she goes outside to do a wee before going to bed.

Adoption details
We will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
