About Denver
Denver has an absolute joy for life and if you’re caught laughing without him he comes running to see what fun he is missing out on. Denver loves his humans, big and small, and would be best around children over 5 as his cuddles are very generous and he thinks he is a lap dog!
He has learnt to sit, shake, drop, wait for food, stay and of course, how to be a lounge lizard! He's also perfectly toilet-trained and knows how to use a doggy door.
Denver has been living on a farm with 4 foot fences and doesn’t jump over them. He is learning to live with farm animals with fences in between them but definitely no cats or chickens. If he goes into their area he ignores them but if they come into his yard then he thinks it’s play time.
He is quite happy with his own company and will play toss the toys for hours by himself. A fur girlfriend would suit Denver (he lives with 4 girls of all sizes) as he doesn’t like sharing the limelight with other guys. If he is an only-dog he will either need room to run or walks every day. He is still learning how to walk in suburbia on a lead as he is used to getting his exercise running around paddocks.
Denver thinks he is part fish so a dam, pool or access to water would make his life complete, he’ll even lay in the bird bath if he has to. He loves baths under the garden hose and will stand still soaking up all the attention.
