About Saber
Now meet this gorgeous girl "Saber". Sadly, poor Saber and her sister, Ripley, were recently surrendered to the pound as their owner was too unwell to continue to care for them. Sad situation for all. The girls were luckily saved from death row to be given a 2nd chance and have gone into foster care together. Took awhile to come out of their shells, as being suddenly removed from their home was bit of a shock to them. But now, we are getting to see their lovely personalities and fun side. Although they recently turned 4 years of age, the girls still sometimes act like big kittens and have a lot of play left in them. The kids have been having fun playing with them.
Saber has had to adjust to other foster cats sharing the room with her and her sister which may be why she hides away to sleep, but the moment you walk into the room, she is up wrapped around your legs to say hello and looking for a pat. She is more solid than Ripley, and loves her pats "hard". The harder the better and she just can't get enough of the pats to the point she might even give you a bit a nip when wanting more but we are working on her getting out of that bad habit. The kids love how she rises up and evens arches her back to try and get up higher, to reach more pats. She loves to be on you and moves around constantly just trying to get more pats and eventually settles into a comfy spot. The motor will be purring away and she becomes so content, she almost starts to dribble in her happy state. Many times we've fallen asleep on the couch with Saber on us and she is still there hours later when we wake up (bad habit by the hoomans we have to work on too🙂). Saber too is fine with other cats around as well as seeing the big dogs outside through the glass door. She can be timid in areas of the house that she is not family with. Like her sister Ripley, Saber too has hints of bronze colour through her coat and we've discovered the whole underside is this gorgeous colour too - see the photos. She is desexed and has been fully wormed and vaccinated. She is not a messy eater nor fights over food and has had no problems using a kitty litter tray. Also not one to shed much hair the same as her sister. Saber would love a forever home where there are a lot of pats and attention on offer and if the two sisters could go together, it would make their transition into their new life so much easier for them.
