About Cherie
Cherie came into care a young traumatised first time mum with one day old kittens. Sadly they all passed away apart from Hugo Boss and Cherie is slowly getting over being scared. Currently she's living in the foster carers wardrobe with Mittens the Wardrobe Cat (another scaredy).
Cherie flinches and cringes when you first go to touch her, but if you gently persist and use a soothing voice and gentle strokes within five minutes she will relax and roll on her back and start kneading the air in ecstasy.
Cherie would be ideal for scaredy crate training, we know she'll respond well. If you're interested in super cute expressive tiny little tuxedo girl and you're prepared to put in the time and work, we will support you and teach you how to work with her.
Cherie will bond with the human who makes the effort and has a big heart just waiting to open itself to loving her one special person. Is that person you?
Cherie is a healthy raw fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010002717720, source #EE101165). She is available for adoption right now!
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
