About Coconut
Are you looking for the cutest little floof that has ever floofed?
Well look no further than this adorable baby bunny!
Coconut and her siblings are all ready to go to their new homes and brighten the lives of their new families.
These babies were born in foster care after their mum was rescued from very undesirable circumstances along with 9 other bunnies! Because they were lucky enough to be born in care, these wee ones have never known anything but love, warmth and excellent care - and we want it to stay that way!
Many people still see rabbits as a great pet for kids, and also a low-maintenance animal - but neither of these are really true! Bunnies can definitely be lovely companions for children but they are NOT usually cuddly animals. They are 'prey animals' meaning that in the wild, they are the bottom of the food chain. This means that they are forever on the look out for danger and they are not very comfortable being picked up and held regularly as they feel insecure and vulnerable.
Bunnies can be loving, affectionate, snuggly and playful but they can also be cheeky, moody and independent.
They are NOT suited to living outdoors in a hutch all the time!
Bunnies must live in a space that is long enough for them to make 3 full length large hops.
Just like any animal, they have specific needs in terms of diet and on-going health care.
Also bear in mind that although these babies are delightfully small right now, their mum is a big solidly built girl so they may get quite big. Their mum also happens to be a super affectionate, snuggle-bum bunny so hopefully they will have inherited those traits.
We hope we haven't deterred you from your interest in one (or two!) of these precious babies. We just want what's best for them and for their new families.
