About Candy
Name: Candy
Breed: Rottweiler X Staffy
Age: 5 months
Sex: Female
Dog Friendly: Yes
Child Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Toilet Trained: In training
Location: Hervey Bay, QLD
Candy and her siblings had a rough start to life. They came into care tiny and underweight. She has not let that stop her and has grown into a loving little girl. She and her foster brother Fleck get along very well and love a bit of rough and tumble play. Candy likes to sleep on the floor at her foster Mum's feet, whether it be at the computer, couch, or kitchen!
She sits for her food and knows her name. She also loves her big old foster brother, and while his patience is limited, she keeps trying very hard to interact with him. She is a beautiful little girl who would love a kind home with older children and perhaps another dog to play with.
Medical notes
Candy has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ 2 x Vaccinations (C3 & C5)
~ Microchipped
~ All-Wormed
~ Flea Treated
Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
