About Pippa
Pippa is a 4 and a half year old cutie cuddle pie. A sweet, quiet natured girl, who has plenty of love to give and is keen to find her furever home.
Pippa enjoys family life and has a healthy curiosity for the wonders of a busy household. Pippa has been fostered in a home with two children and three other Greyhounds. She could be an only dog, but ideally would prefer a home where her humans are mostly home or who work part time.
If you see yourself cuddling up on the couch with a soft snuggly Greyhound, then Pippa is certainly for you. She is perfectly content to cosy up beside someone while lapping up all the attention and affection on offer. She loves her soft toys, with her favourite being her yellow knitted duck toy. Pippa is also a bit of a nester creating her own special 'Pippa' space on her bed to feel happy and safe. She certainly likes to collect all sorts of objects from around the house especially those of the “hoomans” in her life.
Pippa loves stretching out on a lovely warm snug bed and is very much enjoying the life of being a retired, inside Greyhound. She enjoys outings with a very versatile and adaptable temperament, seeming to cope well with all different types of environments. She is great with everything from long country walks, to walks in built up urban areas with people and traffic.
She walks well on a lead and also no problems travelling in a car. Pippa does not jump up on people and is respectful of others’ space. Pippa is fine with other dogs. No cats please.
Pippa is de-sexed, wormed, heart worm tested and vaccinated. If you would like to know more about adopting Pippa, please phone the number below or click “enquire about this Pet”.
Adoption details
Step 1 - Email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. If you would like more information about the dog, please call us on 0421 929-062. If we cannot take your call immediately, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.
Step 2 - We will email you back an application form and await return of the form by email. All applications must be accompanied by an application form.
Step 3 - We will contact you regarding a meet and greet (pending the suitability of your application). There may be situations where the hound that you are applying for, is not suitable to your home situation, but we might have another hound available that better suits your situation. We do not advertise our foster dogs immediately, as we give them time to settle into home life first, so we can better assess their temperament. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family, that has not been advertised yet.
Step 4 - The meet and greet will be organised so that any other pets in your family are also present. This would preferably be done in your home, as a home check can be done to ensure that adequate fencing, shelter, etc will be provided to the hound. The adoption fee of $270 needs to be paid before the hound is adopted.
Step 5 - You take your new family member home on a 2 week trial. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all dogs will have some period of adjustment. If, after the 2 week trial, you feel that you need to return the dog, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
