About Tank ~ Cattle dog X Mastiff (on trial 31/10/18)
Tank is a 6 week old Cattle dog X Mastiff. Tank has been raised inside with his siblings Albus and Luna. Tank is the biggest of his litter coming in at 3.4kg at 6 weeks old unlike his siblings who are 2.4kg.
Tank is a cuddly boy who will snuggle up to you when he finishes playing. He loves to be outside so a yard is a must-have for Tank. He loves nothing more than to follow you around and play with his toys as long as you are in sight.
Tank would need to go to a home that has another dog unless you are home most of the time. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Tank is very amused by his rabbit friend and happily follows him around the cage watching him. Tank is very gentle around others and would be well suited to a family that has children but will need to be trained to not knock them over in excitement as he gets older and bigger. He would be suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Tank is currently learning basic commands and has learnt to come when called and is working on his other commands. Tank would benefit by attending puppy training to keep on socializing and learning new skills. Tank has shown no aggression when introduced to other dogs, big or small, and loves more than a wrestle with new dogs.
Tank’s siblings Luna and Albus are also available for adoption.
As Tank is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Tank please contact his foster carer Jess on jbt_is@hotmail.com Tank is in Newcastle area, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Tank’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
