About Cooper
Cooper lived with his previous owner from a puppy. He lived a fairly sheltered life with her until she had serious medical issues and needed to surrender him.
So on coming into care Cooper was a shy little boy who was nervous of new situations, and we have worked with him daily on these issues. He is improving so nicely, and will need his forever family to continue working with him.
He is the sweetest chap, who is now enjoying smooching with his carer (he was used to being near his owner 24/7 but because she was elderly, she couldn’t pick him up much)
Cooper definitely prefers women than men, although quickly warms to them once he realises they mean him no harm. He hasn’t been exposed to many children in his life, and as he is so small, he would prefer any children to be 10yrs + He enjoys going for walks on leash, and is getting used to the other dogs in foster care with him. He is used to being an only dog, and does find some dogs scary.
He is completely toilet trained and is using the doggie door, now he’s worked it out!
Cooper is getting better and better at travelling in the car.....another thing he wasn’t used to. He prefers being in a harness and seatbelt strap, rather than a travel crate, and therefore Cooper needs his new family to travel to Moree, northern NSW, by car to collect him. He would not cope well with flying or being in a crate for Road transport.
Please click on the Enquire after this Pet button and tell us why you would be a good fit for Cooper. HE NEEDS YOU TO COME AND COLLECT HIM. Tell us your work hours, and how long he would be alone during the day, if at all. Do you have kids? Any other pets?
