About Sammy (OaV-10)
Sweet little Sammy is a gorgeous bunny looking for love!
This little guy looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. Sammy is affectionate and enjoys cuddles. He is used to living as an indoor bunny and loves nothing more than a night of Netflix and chill on the couch with his peeps. Sammy has been around children - it's important to remember though, that rabbits are small and vulnerable animals who can easily be frightened or physically injured by over-excited kids so a home where his primary care-giver is someone calm, sensible and responsible is very important.
In his first home Sammy lived outdoors in an unhygienic area with a large number of other rabbits, all breeding willy-nilly (you know the saying about breeding like rabbits...!)
He has some old scars from being attacked by other bunnies but he is otherwise in good health. He could be bonded with another rabbit as long as the introduction is sensible and controlled.
Since being in foster care, Sammy has become an indoor rabbit and is very happy about it! He will not be suited to a home where he will be outdoors all the time or in a small hutch. Sammy is getting better every day at litter training so with some dedication from his new family he should master it in no time!
He does, of course, still love the chance to go outside for play time on the grass or in the veggie patch so he can jump and dig and binky around. (If you're not sure what a binky is, google it! Or just adopt Sammy so you can see it in person).
All in all, Sammy is a great bunny. All he needs is a warm clean bed, lots of fresh hay, some yummy veggies and someone to love him!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
