About Pixie
Pixie is a gorgeous long haired ginger girl full of personality. She is extremely playful (but gentle with her claws) and full of energy. She enjoys running laps around my house and does spend time outside in our fully enclosed cat proof yard. She loves chasing bugs! She isn't very vocal, but purrs very loudly. When she has worn herself out she does enjoy having a cuddle and nap on your lap. I think Pixie would be best suited to a quiet environment with no children or dogs. She gets on well with most cats, but can be upset by aggressive/dominant felines. She will need an understanding and patient owner, as she will take a few weeks to settle into a new environment. Once she knows you, and is comfortable, she will want to be all over you.
Pixie is ready to go now, so feel free to send an enquiry if she sounds like the purrfect match for your family.
***PLEASE NOTE: Pixie is only available for LOCAL adoption only. Canberra/Queanbeyan ONLY. thank you.
Medical notes
Pixie will be vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea and worm treated before going to her new home.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
