About George ~ Bull Arab x Bc pup(Trial 19/6/16)
Meet Mr Sensitive! George is a gentleman through and through. He is always calm and gentle and he has impeccable manners for such a young puppy. He just adores any opportunity to be close to his humans. George is a 9 week old Bull Arab X Border Collie puppy who loves to be a lap dog.
George is Tori and Charlotte's litter brother. He currently lives with 6 other dogs of various breeds, ages and personalities and he gets along well really with all of them. He is very laid back and can often be found snuggling contently in the sun with members of his fur family.
Although George is looking like growing into a large dog, he is already very well behaved around younger children. No jumping up or being puppy mouthy for George - it's not just not his thing.
George isn't really interested in learning any basic commands at this age - it's like he figures that he already follows you around everywhere and lays at your feet or in your lap anyway so what's all this fuss with 'sit' and 'come'. Nevertheless, we always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
George will happily sleep inside without accidents during the night and he's working on his toilet training during the day.
As George is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's around 5 months old.
For more information or to meet George please contact his foster carer Leah by email Matthew.Watts@bigpond.com. George is in foster care in AWABA, NSW 2283 (Lake Macquarie, near Toronto).
George's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, first two vaccinations, microchipping and he has been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
