About Spud
Spud is a friendly affectionate dog when you get to know him. However, it does take time to win his trust and this means coming to meet him a few times. He is very social with other dogs and he loves playing fetch and retrieve and playing with squeaky toys. He was timid and thin when he came from the pound with singed hair on his back. This has all grown back. Spud needs to trust you before you pick him up and he would prefer to live in a female household. He has a short coat and weighs 7.2kg.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Medical notes
Spud comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
