About Cassy (On Trial 31/1/15) ~ Chi x Dachshund
This gorgeous little girl is Cassy, a 2 yr old Chihuahua x Dachshund. She is a very timid little girl and loves nothing more than to sit on your lap and snuggle.
She is living with 4 other small dogs at her foster carer's house, including her mother Willow who is also available for adoption. Cassy is not really that interested in other dogs, she prefers human company. We have two cats which she tends to chase and bark at but that’s all, I don’t think she means them any harm. We also have chickens but she shows no interest in them.
Cassy is a very quiet natured little girl, she doesn’t bark or make any noise at all really. She loves her food and will eat just about anything we give her. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Cassy hasn’t had any training but since coming into care she is learning basic commands like sit, stay etc and is going really well with this as well as with her toilet training.
All Cassy wants is unconditional love and she will definitely give it back in abundance.
If you wish to meet Cassy or are would like further information please contact her foster carer Karen by email plumb2a@bigpond.com or phone 0411263304. Cassy is in foster care on the Central Coast NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Cassy's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
